About Us William (chinque) Fines-Owner of Historic Restoration Co. Lives on a small island on the coast of Maine in a small off grid house he built in 1996. With the downturn in the economy in 2010 Bill found himself with time on his hands and a pile of scrap copper, left over from historical restoration projects. After trying some small pieces for family and friends, he decided to try something that would hold his interest. Focusing on the nature around him, a new form of scrap work was born. As time progressed and he taught himself different methods, pieces became more elaborate and detailed. In the summer of 2012 he sold his first large piece. He invested the money into a studio/gallery on the road to one of Maines most popular parks (Reid State Park).
The gallery opened in the spring of 2013. At present, Bill produces a line of affordable work for the summer visitors ranging from wall hangings, windsocks for the garden and jewelry. His passion, however, lies in his large elaborate natural pieces such as herons, egrets, owls and osprey. |
